This question always makes me think. What did I want to be when I grew up? I always dreamed of being a baseball player or a firefighter. For no specific reasons other than those are the types of people I looked up to and the types of people I perceived to be role-models. I also always looked up to my father, however, one thing I never thought would happen is that I would end up in the same industry as him.
He worked in the printing industry for many years and I can still remember going into work with him on a Saturday to see how everything was done. The smell of the printers, the stacks of paper sky-high, the new projects they were working on in packaging and retailing. I also worked in the printing and graphics department at school. I was frustrated because I could not find as easy solution for my empty walls, and when combined with my past, I can see these are the two main reasons why I got drawn towards the printing industry. I graduated from Villanova University in December 2010 and with inspiration from a few of my professors, UltraMurals began.
UltraMurals was started as a solution to the clutter I found in the on-line wall mural market. I just wanted a clear solution to fill the empty walls in my house. The ability to simply choose from such a large collection of murals and the products that allow you to peel & stick practically anywhere really interested me. Who didn’t want a medium that was easy for anyone to install and could be moved without a mess! With that in mind, I started what is today known as UltraMurals.
I started blogging as a way to share the knowledge that I have gained through my
experiences and to learn from others. This constant flow of information is something that really excites me. I will primarily be focused on issues that are intriguing and interesting, as well as, whatever topics are trending in the world at the time. The blog is not intended to be solely about business, but rather about lifestyles of our customers and subject matter you might find interesting.
What did you want to be when you grew up? What are you now?
